9 PM, Election Nite.

Of course I did. And, much to my delight, so did my darling, for the first time ever. I guess watching the political process up close this summer on the Kucinich campaign on top of ten years of my "you don't vote, you can't bitch" haranguing finally got to him.
When we went to the polls at 10AM, there was no line, and the poll ladies even joked with us. I was mistaken for a Sandra, who evidently is married to a John in our precinct - damn, everybody always wants to marry us off.
And speaking of marriage, I pray that everyone voted against Issue 1. If you want to know why I'm vehement about it, just read my opinion piece in the Stater.
I drove Jax to the polls also, without my mother, who only knew "that Cherny man" of all the candidates. When I told her it was Bush/Cheney and Kerry/Edwards, she said, "Well, I don't like any of their names."
