more update-y stuff
Jun. 23rd, 2006 04:39 pmFirst, remind me never to try singing Peter Gabriel at karaoke. I suck at it. REALLY suck.
Second, I've been getting a few job interviews. This week: part-time office manager at a social service agency, walking distance from here. Next week: Americorp-VISTA volunteer for the Slavic Village Development Corporation, poverty-level wages and a big chunk of student loans repaid after a year; and internet content manager for an adult site. So far, nobody wants to pay me lots of money, which is why I need a job, but we'll see about the content manager thing... although part-time & walking distance would leave me open to continue the business-plan stuff.
Third, if you like theatre &/or antiques, I'm going to be in the One-Act Play Festival at Loganberry Books during the Larchmere Antiques Festival this weekend. I get to play someone very like my mother, 20 years ago. I also get to run sound, and introduce things, and read stage directions during the staged readings part of it on Sunday afternoon. Note to self - being in a drama is better than being in drama.
Fourth, I'm still a sucker for personally revealing memes, especially when I'm trying to avoid doing more video logging. Or running lines again. Or doing housework. ( See me blab here. )
Fifth, I am very hungry but want steak, or lamb, neither of which I have. So I'm settling for very dark chocolate, which I do have. And will go eat now.
