In other news, after 3 weeks of Geico insurance hell, we finally were advised by our lawyer to get Progressive to handle it. 3 days later, I had a check, both license plates were on their way back to me (the Geico guy had only collected the back plate, which would have caused me to have to get new plates, rather than transfer my old ones. Grr.), and I had become the proud 2nd owner of a 2002 Subaru Outback L.L. Bean version. It's an automatic with a 6, and still gets 20 miles to the gallon. Did I mention that it handles like a sports car, and has dual moonroofs? And heated leather seats. Luxury and economy, and big enough to hold the drums. The perfect car to replace the Honda, although we did have to kick in a lot on top of the settlement. But I didn't want anything that was available for 3K - nothing was big enough to hold the drums and still get good gas mileage, let alone be fun to drive, my 3 minimum requirements. The Subaru fits perfectly.
