After returning library books this morning, we literally [almost] ran into the Clifton Art Fest driving home. We stopped, perused the stuff, and
drebleloaw kept me from purchasing a gorgeous dragon and gargoyle of terra-cotta (too expensive), beautiful garden sculptures of copper and brass (we have no garden), a stained glass panel (too big and too expensive), and then I saw it. A graphite drawing of a lightning-blasted tree, high and desolate on a canyon rim. Ah. So far out of my price range as to be laughable. But - there was a limited run of prints. In my price range. So, I am now the proud owner of a Larry McFarland print.
Also ran into a few old friends, ate meat-onna-stick and corn-on-the-cob (I love festival food!) and I wanted to buy these cool ceramic mugs from Gina DeSantis, (who knows
signofwater; the LJ community is pervasive), but I was reminded of the budget again. Oh well, she has a etsy site, so I'm going to get some mugs someday...
