Things are happening, no matter how tired or sore I am.
My thesis is still being rewritten, and the timeline is defend by the end of Fall semester.
Wedding invitations have gone out. If you haven't got one, and will be in Vegas or Cleveland in October and want to be at either of the events, comment or email (marence at gmail) with a physical street address so we can send one.
Lots of short-term travel has been done this summer. Drives with cushy heated seats don't hurt much, and seeing new, weird, and interesting things keeps my spirits up. It also gives me ideas about the way this nation has mutated, morphed, and grown. Someday it will be a book. Or a movie. Or maybe just digital information, forever stored in our network.
Free music, especially from favorite artists, is good. Nine Inch Nails and David Byrne & Brian Eno are sharing DRM-free music, and I am happy. Go to nin.com and everythingthathappens.com and be happy too. Oh hell, I'll just share the latter:
